I don't know if my issues count me as a disabled artist, but i'd like to see since I have nerve issues in my funny bone that causes issues in my hand and it has resulted in me needing to see different specialists and a physical therapist. For what that's worth, and even though I can't draw for as long as used to due to pain and hand twitching, I still don't use AI art. Even as a reference. The only time i'd work with it, is if a customer made something with an ai art tool in order to help flesh out a character they want an artist to refine or touch up to what the customer envisioned. Not that i'm going on a witch hunt for ai artists, I don't have the mind or energy to put myself through that, I just prefer to do what you mentioned earlier in the video. I start out with a rough idea, and then I look up multiple images from multiple sources to help me get what I want to look nice to me. The hand holding something, the frame of a pair of glasses, the hairstyle in the wind, the right angle of a body part, etc., that's something only I can eyeball for myself. I wouldn't expect another person, let alone ai art tools, to do that for me. Thankfully I started over a decade ago, but even if I started a week ago: I know I wouldn't be satisfied with anything other than me trying to make and failing to make and gradually figuring out how to make a piece while i'm working on every bit and corner of it.
