I sometimes use AI to diagnose my cars, which I have extensive technical knowledge about. All I can tell is the conversations are getting worse and worse quality-wise. AI is providing bogus, dummy and factually incorrect answers (to the point of interactions being a waste of time), I keep correcting it all the time, which I probably shouldn't because it's getting valuable human input for free. Given the unsustainable economic model behind AI and the fact that the models will eventually collapse, I give it a few years max. It's just a statistical language model with neural vectors of probability of collocations (bigrams, trigrams etc.) that is being trained on increasingly wrong data on the web that AI itself generated. It is very similar to machine translation, the success of which largely depends on the quality of bilingual corpora in individual language pairs.
