I share a similar feeling as this person, but I’m not an advocate for AI art. I guess I’ll share what I mean. I’ve been into art a lot as of late, and it got decently better than to using bases (since im mainly digital), but after I started freehanding everything, I feel like my art got… worse. It might just have something to do with how I have a vision of something that I’m like “oh yeah, i could probably do this” but then I get to it and I don’t even make a rough outline (like done in the video) (i blame ibis for not giving access to the pencil too because pen’s not good for doing rough outlines in my opinion) and kinda just… rush. Compared to most things I see people around me making, it’s like a child tried to make the mona lisa with a red crayon. I wish there was some way to actually make my art good, and feel proud of it, but I feel like my art’s only gotten worse as it’s gone along. Maybe it’s because of my long breaks, maybe I just kinda suck at art, maybe both, but it still feels like it’s not improving, and when I see people making art that’s leagues better as just something they made quickly for something like a project, it gets annoying to see people make something so much better than mine in the same, if not less time than it took me to make my thing. I feel like this is getting off-topic, but TL;DR, I don’t like how my art looks compared to everyone else, and I share a similar feeling to the AI-art guy in the video that some people were given the ability to make art after a bit of hardwork, but I don’t support AI art because it’s not original because it uses other artists art for the reference. Maybe I just have a very negative and critical view of everything I make, idk.
