This is so typical of tech companies. If you did a poll in Australiaany time in the last decade and asked people: what are the top ten problems facing our country, how many would have said a lack of self-driving cars? So instead of using their enormous resources to solve problems people actually care about, they do their own vanity or greed projects. Same with AI, robotics, and virtual reality. Who wants those things besides rich people who want to replace their employees with electronic slaves?
