The thing that I hate the most about AI “art”, besides all the stealing and the how little these people value artists, is the process itself. Art is not just about producing cool looking images and making money off it, the process of creation itself is part of what makes art… art. As you said, _“A human has to literally look at the inspiration, process it in their minds, combine it with their life experiences, with the way they feel, with how they approach every single brushstroke.”_ The creative process itself, every single stroke, even the tiniest dot.. they are a way to communicate what you think, how you feel, they are part of the art itself. And typing a prompt and waiting for results born from stolen shit… that’s far from “making art”.
