It's a complicated argument. I've been on both sides and I've chosen AI in the end. The pictures AI can generate are just much better (and infinitely faster) than what I can ever produce myself by hand. Right now I generate pictures until I find the one I really like (which takes a lot of time, believe it or not) and then I just edit it by hand (usually fixing stuff, adding/removing/clearing, redrawing hands and face, etc). And I'm not even using anything fancy, it's just a pre-set image generator, rather limited thing. Also it's not about laziness -- it's more about quality. At least for me. But yes, working on a picture for only 2-3 days instead of 7-10 is a gigantic plus.
