A lot of people saying firing people is backfiring, accompanied by the 'AI is garbage' comments.
Exectutives already had a culture of firing people, and making those who remain do more work - now sure, they didn't assess use cases for AI in many cases: but these aren't stupid people, and they won't repeat that error.
There is some irony with the bubble - an economic bubble doesn't indicate a lack of capability. The economy will crash, and it will drive large scale automation and layoffs.
The dynamics of this bubble really are different.
And all that said, chances are decent the shooting will start soon.
But look on the bright side, who wants to live when nothing happens.
