Stay hopeful : a muscular man can still make good money despite living in a world where bulldozers, cranes and power tools exist. A martial artist can also still earn a living in a world with guns, tanks and atomic bombs. Or a flint expert can make a beautiful and useful fire in a world filled with lighters, electrical ovens and power plants. I think we need to rethink jobs, especially their identity defining dimension. In my opinion, AI and automation should provide all we need to survive and free us from soul crushing jobs, in order for us to focus on what really matters : our health, our passions and our highly necessary cohesion as a tribe of 8+ billions humans lost in a dark, cold, mostly empty and insanely hostile universe.
