I think that the primary problem with AI art now is the same problem faced by singers being pitch-corrected and sanitized: The product, while greater for its purpose and a marvel of ingenuity, winds up being generic in its perfection. The art will come out clear, crisp, detailed and fantastic--but it's got a plastic sheen, a certain boring flawlessness. It's easy to see AI-generated art of people, from a mile away... It's great, but it's like seeing a plastic part covered in mold lines.
