Something i think a lot of people miss when they talk about art vs AI "art" is that by the very nature of creating the art by hand, every single thing in anything created by a person is placed with intention and thought, whether it detracts or adds to the composition it was placed with the hope of achieving the artists desired effect, AI slop is by nature inaccurate and imprecise with often random details that don't really add anything to the piece or make any sense upon two seconds of inspection. AI artists really come off as that one jackass in English class that would whine to the class about how its not that deep when the teacher attempted to explain anything symbolic, but yes most the time it IS that deep, someone had to decide that the color those curtains would be is blue, and the very fact that they were mentioned at all was a choice made with intention, intention that ai art can only parrot and hope no one notices the details they placed are nonsense or contradictory. Part of the issue really is that often especially on social media, people don't look long enough at pieces of art to ascertain whether they are ai or not, unless the piece really catches their eye or the ai is blatantly obvious, like the famous piss filter ai. There's also simply just a limit to how precise ai can get, when you commission an artist you can have them change little things with certainty that the entire image won't change because you asked the machine to make their legs a little longer or something.
