Your idea holds true until you factor the rapid growth of ai in our country at that point most people will be unemployed and there will need to be a kind of change and until there is something better the only solution people can come up with is ubi. Give it a few more years and the argument for a ubi will be everywhere especially as the millenials and gen z grow up they already know vy the time they are the retirement age social security will be long gone its a foregone conclusion.
