I'm flabbergasted.
1. "32-hour workweek with no loss in pay" - that is a great way to decrease the benefit of human labour vs machines, and lead to even increased rate of lay-offs.
2. Workers on the corporate boards could do nothing to address the problems, other than trying to prevent the use of AI in their company, which would lead to competitive disadvantage and eventually to their demise.
3. Workers would never be able to get a stock package that would make up for their lost job. This also doesn't address the problem of what will happen with early career people without a job, and people who worked for a failed company.
4. Workers are workers and not company directors for a reason. They are not equipped to make strategic choices. Also this has nothing to do with AI, just another ancient communist slogan.
5. Robot tax could actually help to some degree. Is it for actual robots only, or AI technology as well? That would be extremely hard to enforce, as AI is already everywhere.
