I think the biggest scam hoax that the computer industry has managed to pull on everyone can be summed up in two words artificial intelligence.
They've managed to trick everyone into thinking their black box tech ( and it is black box because no one knows how it gets its answers ) is an actual intelligence. They don't even understand how it does what it does, and we're supposed to let it handle portions of our lives? Do they want fucking skynet? Is that the end goal? Cuz surrendering autonomy to a glorified chatbot is how we end up with skynet.
