Watch the royal skies video on Ai art and the armored core series if you want to understand this more. 2: it's not always that other people are saying our art is bad, it's usually ourselves that say our art is bad. Using text prompts is an easier and more accessible way for those of us who want to see our visions of the world come to life before investing hundreds to thousands or tens of thousands of hours and possibly still not achieving what we want. It might be a shortcut true enough, but so has every invention that we've made. You rarely see people crapping on photoshop these days in the photography industry, because it's well accepted that it's just another tool at this point. The same can be said for anyone who utilizes any 3d material that was made by injection molding or industrial robots; something else put in part of the work so that you could realize the final result. People aren't mad that Ai art is copying them, they're mad that they aren't benefitting from this. However, the amount of times you and every other person not only in art, but on this planet has made something using primarily someone else's original ideas or creations and gave them no credit or reward is astronomical. Ai goes through a training process just like you went through, and now someone is using it as a tool just like they could use you as a tool to bring their vision to life, but now they don't have to deal with as many of the downsides like financial burden to bring one thing to life let alone a dozen or more. If you opened your eyes and heart to it, I bet you could even improve your own art even further using something like chatgpt, loras, and more Ai tools to understand your own pieces and create more in more ways that you find appealing.
