The only decent argument I've ever heard for using AI as a reference image came from an artist who specialized in surreal landscapes and he liked it specifically *because* of the nonsensical ways it melted stuff together in ways that people wouldn't.
I'm not a fan of AI art, but I have to admit that in that one incredibly specific instance then maybe it had merit as a tool.
Not that the tool is worth the price, just that if you're specifically looking something that doesn't seem like it was created by a human... I guess?
