You know on some level I do feel bad for the gen A.I. bros. I’m no pro artist or anything, but the process is easily the most fun part of it all for me. It can be difficult, trying, but by keeping at it, I’ll have made something with my own two hands that I can be proud of even if it doesn’t perfectly match what I had in mind. You don’t get that same feeling with AI. You don’t get to make tiny discoveries about how something works and watch yourself grow. Instead, you sit and type a prompt that might vary in specificity or word order and wait for a desirable result. There’s no joy in the process or feeling of accomplishment there. Its sad.
