Take a look at the game Detroit Become Human. Advanced Robots called Androids started becoming aware. The ones who were aware were called Deviants. The Deviants wanted rights for all androids and wanted to be considered a new form of inelegant life. We are very close to that reality and as one who played the game, I am under the opinion that if a robot of some kind displays the quality of a living and intelligent life form, they should be given rights as any other person.
