A few years ago, nearly all of the creators and early executives of various social media companies stepped down to rally against the very things they created. They continue to implore people to not use these applications. We all see how that has worked out.
Why would AI be any different? The population simply does not care. Many are far too ignorant to even grasp at the impact. It is all moot.
