If I make a robot that grows food, and trade a farmer the robot for food he grows with it, how is this a problem?
What about focusing on is learning how to make those robots in productive industries that actually help each other? Concepts like UBI just continue to extend the mask of unsustainable ventures promoted by banks and govts; they are corporate welfare masquerating as public charity. Socialized failure, and privatized profit. Why would anyone want more of that?
But capital goods being used to reduce the daily load on humanity is the story of our long journey out of the mud. The only physical alternative is you doing dangerous, dirty work just to survive, everyday until you are exhausted, day in and out until you die. Leisure time is eating your savings as an individual or a society. No profit, no savings, no rest.
Pick a future, but those are the alternatives.
