5 years ago they said this could never happen. The ability of companies to scrub the internet means that in 4 years this comment will never have existed. If we rely on "laws" or on "moral guidance" we will soon be extinct. No company will slow down to allow others to pass them. No intelligence will allow us to build in a "safety switch", so that we remain in control. In a world built on greed, who is going to give anyone else a moments hesitation if it were to cost them a penny? Even our governments are implementing AI even though it's costing hundreds of thousands of jobs. The moment they attached a gun or a flamethrower to a robot, the "3 laws safe" went out the window.
