This feels a bit like the story of the Luddites, a group of people who made clothes who went around 19th century Britain smashing the mechanized knitting machines and looms the factories were replacing them with. In the short run they were able to do a little bit of damage but in the long run it was inevitable that machines would be more productive than humans. AI will eventually learn to detect & work around nightshade or to just filter it out. In the long run there will be a lot of artistic jobs that can be replaced by it. I'm not saying there's any morality to it one way or another, just that it seems pretty inevitable.
