This notion that AI is gonna replace jobs seems quite short-sighted. Did we not think the same thing about computers, in the 1980s? Did we not think the same thing about the internet, in the 1990s? And did we not think the same thing about smart phones, in the 2000s?
All of those techs were distruptive. All of them were supposed to replace jobs and create part time work.
Yet none of it played out that way. We work just as much as ever and in 2020 income inequality in the USA is comparible to income ineuality in 1920. Why would AI be any different?
