I practiced for years and hit a skill plateau that I couldn't get past. Then I eventually got anhedonia thus losing all enjoyment in everything I loved and I didn't practice for years causing me to become worse. So now that my anhedonia is lessened enough to want to draw I don't know what to do. I hate that AI takes away the fun of the process and anything created doesn't feel earned. So I use it for references or cut and paste things together digitally and draw over it. It feels like cheating but the older I get the less patience I have for practice.
