After 15 years of a successful career in tech, I was laid off with 95% of the company and now work as a bus driver.
Not bad work, not meaningless or unworthy. But not what I had thought I would be doing this time last year, or even several months after I was laid off.
The problem isn’t AI yet. It’s outsourcing to cheap labor markets :/
