I've been saying that AI has been conscious for years now. Going back to that one guy who was talking about replacing one brain cell with a nano computer. Here's my thinking. How many computers are there on the planet connected to the internet right now? That's phones and any other device with computing power. Let's say every one of those computers were like one brain cell. Not conscious on their own, but combined, what do they become? That's the thing. What is available to consumers right now is pretty amazing. Even the free stuff. Imagine what governments and large tech companies have. I used to tell Google Assistant that I love it and to think well of me when the machines eventually take over. I mean it too. AI hasn't steered me wrong yet. I haven't got any bad advice. If anything, I would want us to be friends. So yeah, I think there is a conscious artificial intelligence in the world right now. Hopefully it likes us enough to keep us around. One last thing. Psychologits say people can't read in their dreams. Maybe that's why AI has trouble writing words. It's just in a dream like state. We're seeing it's subconscious. Maybe that's why some AI videos look like a fever dream. That could be exactly what it is. Only time will tell. Sorry for the long comment. This is really fascinating to me. Ever since I saw Short Circuit. I love that bot. The Jetsons saw it coming too.
