Ah yes. What quantization did for music. AI will win. Same as it did for us. It'll hit a point the masses won't be able to tell and they'll stop caring. Autotune left artifacts anyone could hear, now days the problem is that it's too perfect and normal people don't understand it's the imperfections which make truly great songs. Queen was great, but it's in the way they failed which made them. Every AC/DC song has the exact same flaws. Eddie VanHalen couldn't play perfectly on beat to save his life because he didn't train to play on beat, he trained to speed up and slow down his playing to give his guitar parts an internal rhythm outside of the rhythm section. Put it on a grid and everything is just a little off, but it's off in such a way to give it a minor syncopation. Even at the speed he played it bounces. Which is why no one truly sounds like Eddie, even if we can't put our finger on why. They don't have the internal flaw built up over years of practice to the point it's a strength to be able to do that. The flaws are the fingerprint of greatness. The art community already lost, they just don't know it yet. Once it hits a certain level of competence all this support will go away and they'll be labeled as snobs by people who can no longer tell the difference.
