As someone who runs a business development company with a focus on cold calling and lead generation. This doesn’t seem scary at all, there are so many regulation that if someone was caught using this for more then inbound calling that notifies you that you are being recorded, there is no way they would replace a human. As someone who has client in this space using AI for inbound customer service jobs, it it surprising cost prohibitive right now. Not to mention the lawsuits that stuff like this has occurred because AI gives false information without knowing it is. Leading to people suing companies costing companies 10’s a million a year. Let’s see how fast and good AI can adapt and improve before we start talking about it taking peoples jobs.
