This video strikes me a little bit as a wishful thinking. AI tools are getting increasingly better. That AI slop layer that you’re describing can be fixed, but it is a matter of continuing to work in the space and prompt the agents correctly. It does take time, but it is faster than a team of humans. Ive been writing code for 28 years. Don’t pretend like AI isn’t a massive leap forward that is going to get better and better. Coders, or AI babysitters as you describe them, need to help management understand that skilled professionals still need to be in the loop. AI saves massive amounts of time, but probably not as much as the people writing checks believe.
