Sounds like the TV show Person of Interest’s plot is slowly coming into being. However it sounds like an AI will be restricted severely in what it learns and how that information is used, so basically all it will end up being is a bias confirmation machine for whoever programs the parameters it uses.
As many others I’m sure have already said, Mr McDaniels was highlighted as being more likely to be “involved” in a shooting, which unfortunately turned out to be right. Whether this was due to him being put on the watch list is another question, as if anyone in the area saw him being surveilled it would’ve set off alarms and made him suspicious to local gangs.
