Fortunately, my wife and I are both in the healthcare field where a human being is a necessity and can't be replaced by Ai, at least for years to come. In order to render medical care without human hands, the Ai would have to be as mobile as a human with the same highly agile motor skills of the human hand. Ai and robotics aren't anywhere near that level of dexterity and fine motor ability. Additionally, I can't think of anyone who would want to be taken care of in an emergency room by a robot doctor and nursing team. There are just some things that only a human can do, such as conducting an X-ray exam on a confused elderly patient, or a frightened child, or simply dealing with patient anxiety and fears, dealing with uncooperative/combative patients and their family. If Ai and robotics ever take over all aspects of healthcare, it won't be for a very long time from now. I think the best way to insulate your economic self these days, is to acquire skills that can be used as a means of income or trade. Some examples: Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician, Mechanic, being skilled with your hands will become invaluable should the scenario that this video presents ever becomes reality. Sure, there might be Ai robot Carpenters, but they will be owned by a company and you'll have to pay for the service; however, if you have those skills, you can easily underbid for the job and take a lot of those jobs away from the Robot Carpentry business if for no other reason than you don't have much of the overhead those companies will have to pass on to the customer. You would probably have more jobs than you could handle. If this country ever moves to providing a Universal Basic Income (the socialist utopian fantasy) those pushing for it will find that the reality of such a system falls far short of the ideological fantasy they imagine. The reality is you will be in poverty, poor, living very spartan with barely enough government provided income to furnish the basic necessities. Yes, the liberal socialists will see that everyone is equal, nobody has more than their neighbor does, but the fact is their neighbor has almost nothing, and neither will they...everyone will be equally impoverished. Not exactly what they envisioned social equity would be like, and by then, it will be far too late to steer the ship back to where it was prior to the socialist state.
