The prediction of 99% unemployment by 2030 due to automation seems like a very rapid timeline. It's difficult to envision that level of automation capacity and full implementation occurring before 2050 or even later, though the capability might exist sooner.
The suggestion to invest in Bitcoin because of its perceived scarcity doesn't make sense to me. So what if it's scares. I can paint a new painting and try to sell it for $1M because only one exists. It's not scarcity as much as it's speculations and the emotions that go with it. That can change over time (or over night).
It's funny that these discussions around everlasting life rarely brings up questions about who gets that ability. If such a breakthrough occurs, it most likely would become, and stay via controls, a privilege primarily for the wealthy and powerful. Also, living forever could pose a challenge with boredom, especially if your 500-year project is done by AI or a robot. They rarely bring up the immense pressure of walking out of your door knowing your endless life could end today from an accident like run over by a bus (or a low flying robot).
