Thanks for making videos. Love your content as it got me to reflect and think about this whole situation with Ai and art. I tried leaving comments before as I had my own little journey and those keep disappearing for some reason. Anyway, I'm just leaving this here in support to let you know that hearing you talk and discuss this gave me my own thoughts and epiphanies on the subject. Ultimately, I find that art requires the will and decision to be created and that alone gives meaning to every stroke the artist makes, even when done out of pure whimsy. Ai can only ever regurgitate from the data pool it has, and just like vomit, how it comes back out often does not reflect the idea that went into it. I say this with confidence because I messed with some Ai stuff for fun, and even trying to create a new image "Superman breaking Kryptonite" was unsuccessful because no matter what I did or how specific I got, I could never match the image I saw in my own imagination, and by the time I even had anything close, I could have easily drawn the image, any one could have drawn the image and had a far more interesting and accurate piece that anything the Ai gave. So yeah, Ai is a neat toy at best. Also, if I ask someone to draw something for me, I cannot say I am the artist of that piece. Telling Ai to generate an image does not make one an artist. Art is self expression given form through one's own ability, and in the case of commissions that is the artist expressing your idea through their own interpretation, ability and your approval. Using Ai does not make anyone an artist. I mean... being able to use Google doesn't make me anymore of a Historian.
