This is one of the worst ideas humanity has ever had. This WILL kill people. My Dad was a professional big rig driver my whole life, and has told us so many stories of incidents when drivers nearly caused catastrophic accidents, and only through VERY unconventional quick thinking was he able to prevent a massive interstate pile up.
People literally drive right into trucks like they’re not even there. They get stuck under the wheels. Once, a man died of a heart attack, and crashed into my Dad’s truck.
The only thing that keeps accidents like this from becoming a compete freeway blocking pileup, is the truck driver’s response.
These types of accidents WILL happen. How will these AI trucks respond?
