So let me get this straight. We shouldn't be worrying that AI will exterminate us in 10 or 20 years (or less), but instead should be focusing on its relatively minor impacts on the present, like copyright infringement and stereotyped facial recognition? I guess we shouldn't worry about the global habitat destruction global warming might bring a hundred years from now either because they're distracting us from this year's football season.
