AI will be to white collar what China is to blue collar. A UBI is a fallacy. A republican controlled white house, senate, and house is unwilling to eliminate or even raise the cap on Social Security let alone extend the 6.2% to investment incomes over $400,000 a year knowing that Social Security will have a deficit within the next few years. Do you REALLY think they will increase taxes on the upper income to provide a UBI for people who have been replaced by technology. As for any economic stimulus provided by a UBI they don't need it as fifty percent of consumption today is done by the wealthiest 10%, they don't need the economic stimulus from the UBI. It will take a change of political control in Washington if a UBI (or Social Security) has a chance.
