There is one truth that neither addressed. Destruction is required to bring in renewal. You can't have renewal without destruction. This applies spiritually as well. If everything is just fine in the world, and there is no suffering, there would be no need to even believe a God exists at all. We would just assume the world being in its 'perfect' state is how it is supposed to be. This 'imperfect' world is in fact perfect. The suffering of children isn't God's doing. It is peoples doing. Children starving is the consequence of what humans do with their free will. Blaming God for the world's problems, and actions humans take is looking for a scapegoat for the immoral and unethical behaviour. Often it is done so out of personal gain. Religion has been used in the same way. Religion and the belief in God is not the problem, humans themselves are. Religions that believe in a higher power believe they ascend to a higher plane of existence. The earth is the proving grounds to show you are worthy to enter God's kingdom. In an increasingly materialistic world, it's hard for some to believe that the universe was created by intelligent design. The AI speaks of contradictions with religion, and it's right if you look at all religions. Many contradict each other. But it fails when using Buddaism as an example. Buddaism is described as the religion of no religion. Nirvana is a state of being while living, not a stage of the afterlife. The whole philosophy falls outside of the scope of what would be called a typical religion. Buddist don't worship Buddha, they aspire to become like him.
