On the deepfake topic, I wanted to bring up a place Atrioc has been working with since his whole thing to try to help mitigate some of the damage his actions caused. I forget all the details, but essentially there is a group that is using AI to scrub the internet for deepfake porn of a person, and is significantly more effective as far as number of takedowns or delistings from Google than traditional methods. It's a huge issue, but many experts have apparently reached out to him after saying he wants to do everything in his power to fight the problem, and have generally said "if you mean that and want to help, here's something you can do." There are some unique approaches to fighting it that could be so much stronger if there were laws in enough countries to give more power to go after those who publish it. Not to give Atrioc any praise, he's just trying to atone, but the updates he has given around the ways he is trying to help and the opportunities that he has been given to help being in his position, are somewhat encouraging.
