When you think about it AI is kind of a punishment for not unionizing If they had unions they could resist the spread of AI but because they made themselves vulnerable by not fighting for these basic protections now they are on the chopping block. Programmers and professionals have a culture of not embracing unions and this has kind of come back around to punish them. They are only losing their jobs because they failed to protect themselves
