if “soul” is defined as relying on other people entirely to create something, then i don’t have a soul. the word soul literally means “emotional or intellectual energy or intensity, especially as revealed in a work of art or an artistic performance.” if all you’re doing is letting someone else do the work for you, is that putting any soul into it? all that “soul” wouldn’t be there if people ACTUALLY put time and effort into their hand drawn art. the ai stuff wouldn’t look so lively if we didn’t have actual people animating videos. yes, having artistic creativity is part of creating actual art. but are you putting any time or ACTUAL effort into the art? ai just gives you generated pictures that you pick and choose what you like. with actual drawn art, you pick exactly where EVERY line, every squiggle, zigzag, every shape goes. you chose exactly how you want to draw it. the soul is put into the drawing because of the way YOU, the person drawing it, is drawing it. NOT how a computer generates it. tracing is no better than ai art. yes, sure, you’re drawing something, but it lacks effort and creativity. ai art and tracing doesn’t come entirely from the mind.
