As someone who likes to mess around with AI, I can safely say there is an art to writing an actually good prompt. The problem I have with most AI "Artists" is that they use models that are trained on blatantly stolen materials. There are models that are trained using only properly licensed materials, as in they were trained using the likes of ShutterStock or Alarmy after licensing those entire libraries for that purpose. But guess what, those models aren't free. The models that are free, can't possibly afford to license the material they use only to give the model away for free.
I also hate it when people see my old POVRay renders and then pretend that them running a photo through some "AI" filter is doing the same thing. They wrote the prompt, right? So that must mean it's the same as me writing an entire scene definition, because the end result were both rendered by a computer.
Personally I can't wait for the day that Disney decides to just sue OpenAI into oblivion because it's impossible for OpenAI to remove all of Disney's works from their models.
Also if AI isn't a bubble, then why is the whole economy around AI so oddly bubble shaped?
