I think there is little to no problem with AI, but people. It would be as bad if there weren't a lot of People trying to pass themselves off as artists, win competitions, profit, and many more scams. I do not support this. The Enemy isn't Fred, your neighbour who generates a funny image he knows is shitty and filled with little errors. But Bobby, who wants to build an empire using AI-generated scrap and hopes to dump people, just buys into it... My Shop I am working in sells AI geared Image what is printed on cheap-ass wood... It's awful and stupid, people think it's funny and buy it... I personally like AI Art, for personal use only! A very recent event was when I wrote a lot with ChatGPT, and she offered to maybe generate an image of the character I was fine-tuning her with to better get an understanding of his looks. She took my text and generated me an amazing Picture of how I imagine the character. Now whenever I want to get a Real Portrait of him. I can just give this as a reference for what I imagined and want. AI art is Art, but is it Good Art? No. The Questions actually start with, What do you define as 'Art'. I simply take it here as Art = Picture and Pictures can be Good and Ass. I follow a lot of artists and love to see their work! Whenever I see AI art. I feel no value behind it, it's just: "Ah. Okay. Cool..." *keeps scrolling*
