I do understand your point and while i dont like ai art either i have to give the counter argument that its still interesting why something is where it is. Just for a different reason.
As you said, the computer isnt trying to tell something with the picture. It just sees what other people did and replicates it. But that being said you now have the question why so many people choose to depict something that way. Is this from the majority of images or rather a small portion.
Like you wouldnt do an analysis like with pictures from a real artist but you still kinda think about the artwork. Well, rather behind the scenes of the artwork
