What if the new jobs designated to humans after, is to serve as living training data this is already whats happened but for free essentially with no consent most of the times and in other cases the information taken is assumed to be the cost for said service. Why would they need said data in order to replicate the sentience humans have? for some transhumanists their goal is uploading human sentience, not copying because that would be death what best to work on such technology by re-creating it 1:1 in an entirely digital sense. The one thing rich people can't buy is immortality. They seem to be looking for many avenues from CRISPR CAS9 is another example, some are putting their hopes into especially with that mice study increasing longevity by 3x. If the top 1% wanted to use their AI powered machines to wipe everyone out or use a bio-weapon I dont think they would necessarily do it and this isn't based on altruistic thinking. Rich people enjoy their position of wealth relative to every other poor sap struggling hence it appeals to "ego", however if everyone is rich then that becomes the new average. This leads to inflation at some point millionaires become the middle class and the upper class are billionaires while the lower class remain struggling to catch up or social mobility. Obviously they also enjoy their hedonistic consumption of goods, media, services and such so maybe creative roles might be valued for the sake of novelty, similar to how some rich people buy the most simplistic/uninspired paintings unless it's some sort of money laundering scheme I can't really think of any other reason. So unless they want to be left alone to compete with each other like it's a battle royale until a single rich person remains then they might just instead lead the populace weakened and helpless in order to keep their reservation status and to prevent uprising. There probably would be an insane power gap never seen before in history though, at the very least before said tools like AI there would be an fear like the french revolution to where the noblityscrutinized and dealt with when then masses finally had enough of their nepotism, greed and disregard for the common man/woman. I doubt the 99% would be able to do anything unless they developed their own AI in order to protect themselves.
