I literally had to write a paragraph prompt about a similar topic earlier today in English class, so I’ll just rephrase it a bit here: The struggle of becoming good at something _is_ the human experience; when we like something, we strive to be good at it. But through that strive comes struggle, hardship, hell, even loss from time to time. But in those, you will find peace, joy, and be it big or small, some kind of victory. Which is part of the joy of being human. Every human being has an innate pride in a certain skill of theirs which they want to nurture, to work with, to augment into something that they can display to the world. But to create an AI that can just do that with a prompt kills all of that. There’s no struggle in the process, no hardship in trying to figure out what doesn’t work and why, but in doing so means there’s no peace coming from completion, no joy coming from getting those details just right. All you get is a dull husk people dare call “art.” Everything in life, right down to the way plants get energy from the sun, exists in a constant cycle of give and take; satiation only exists because of hunger. Unity only exists because of chaos. Joy only exists because of sorrow. To circumvent that, to give something that didn’t take, is like cheating life itself. So to any aspiring artists reading this: Embrace your human pride. Accept the struggle. Know that your journey will make you infinitely better than those AI-infatuated freaks who dare put themselves on your level.
