I can lower myself to their level. I'm not an artist. Tried a few times but my brain never let me keep practicing for long - I just accepted I'll do something else in life. Despite this, I do not try to defend the form of theft that is Generative AI. Whatever I make, regardless of what it is and it's quality, will always hold more value than ai "art" because it's not stolen from thousands upon thousands of dedicated passionate artists. Now, let's go back up. The truth is, anything can be art. As long as you can convey meaning and intent through a medium, that medium can accomodate art. Maybe you don't think you're capable of traditional drawing - what's the issue? There are many other ways to create art outside of that specific path. Molding clay, writing, playing an instrument, video creation and/or editing, singing and/or voice acting, knitting, game design (both physical and digital), cinematography, tatoo work, acrobatics, dancing, and so on and so on. There are COUNTLESS different ways to express yourself through artistic mediums, and trying to convince yourself that you can't do anything just because ONE of them didn't work out for you, is just tragic.
