I would love to hear Stephen Fry's Renaissance Man attitude towards Quintillion World Computer Games like No Mans Sky. To me, it is either beating God with ones and zeros (of course plugged into monitors etc. and other machine accessing things to attach so to speak to the observer / user) or helped along by God in order to show that really "Universes were little trifling things easy to build in the back yard and please can we get some much more interesting prayers please, it's getting a bit boring watching mankind make an idiot of himself, especially as he is done in my image." But with ai and all recorded culture plugged into advanced races on Quintillion World Computer Games, especially or only the cream of the crop of living and morality play obvious that it is morality play and not some challenge to beings to take up the worst of life again, in fact surely we will have the best paradise to take with us when we die with these new computer games, as long as there is a ghost version and as long as we don't mess up worships idea of there maybe being a limbo, purgatory or hell available for the naughty too. Please, you did think that Limbo, Purgatory and Hell might be a bit much didn't you, I mean have you learnt nothing mankind? One must really hope in these becoming Universe maker Godlike times that the commercial sector doesn't screw it up and do something like ban or discourage dreaming and voices in the head which maybe all we have when we die. They would do it in order to try to sell Quintillion World Best of Culture Computer Games to everyone including maybe the cosmos and inorganic if they can manage to chat to them like all those worshippers said they could, probably creating the greatest discrepancy in true wealth in all of Creation. One good and yet scary thing if we extinct life and make it digital and robotic is that we may start nearly at scratch but with a vast database and infancy and much of childhood is just learning to simplify in a way (unique possibly for every different infant the learning again process) that it is easy to communicate with other vastly different beings of the same species. AI has got a long way to go if that is the case and there might be sublime forms of consciousness all the way through other species, but also of course if the trillions of galaxies in outer space is real and not colored dust waiting for humans to come and play with, the dreams of possibly all brain sized parts of things too.
