I don't understand this podcast. Tokens are generated when you send in a query to an llm. The cost of tokens is dependent on the cost of compute. Us hyperscalers have misallocated 100 of billions when you can do most of the tasks on much simpler LLMs that operate on cheaper hardware.
Who is going to buy Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, if companies have already blown their capex on obsolete gpus that generate tokens on much more inefficient hardware.
