AI will take over a lot of scope from existing developer
Instead of writing code from scratch, AI will provided a boiler plate that match 90% requirements most of the time.
The developer role will be to review and optimize the code in a way that it becomes maintainable
For front end development, you can skipped a lot of work figuring out margin, padding, centering stuff (danger for front end dev)
For backend, you will still need a developer implement new feature, manage infra etc
The implication of all this will be, less demand for junior role, higher demand for senior engineers because they can potentially do more with existing knowledge
The industry will potentially transform, more developer will be able to build a full fetch software from scratch and automatic the business part like marketing, seo, customer support, finance.
If you want to make it in this new era, you need to be flexible and will to learn new stuff. With help of AI, you should be able to learn multiple time faster, be a jack of all trades and control your destiny.
