Another thought... If ai takes out the grid, it's done. It needs electricity. Still I can see it creating problems with vehicles and other electronics. Makes me think the biblical reference to the battle of Armageddon where blood was up to the horses bridle... Gives us a clue that at least some nations will be battling on horseback, not tanks.
