Meta had Carmack and still couldn't do anything about the bloatware. It's not their intention to resolve the bloat. Each time code beauty becomes more scarse. Old technical knowledge, low level and medium level knowledge is becoming more precious than gold because these days everyone only knows high level programming, barely something about how libraries really work with absolute no idea how registers, memory cache, assembly, disassembling, reverse engineering, cracking, hexadecimal values and latency really works. Then when it comes to gathering knowledge everyone is way softer nowadays. I come from a time when everyone really had to start hard working from day one in college. It's not like that anynore. Today is way easier for everyone. And the more old knowledge becomes scarse, the more valuable it becomes. I am thankful for I was the best among my peers from my time. We should form a new Clan of old low level computer engineers for we are the only ones who can take the lead in AI, develop the models that Big Tech Will implement on their Mixture of Experts. Each one should go after an area of specialization to merge with AI and become the best on both to create the models in the startups. The Clan of OSes is probably picking a replacement for Android XR, the Smartphone will be countered the same way as PCs or a new OS will come integrating.
